People were taking advantage of one of the last weekends before school started, and the park was very crowded. The day was hot and humid.
Our youngest son texted me and said he wanted to ride the Thunderbird. He is 18 and perfectly capable of riding whatever he chooses to ride, but I was thrilled that he let me know. I texted him back and said that I’d ride it with him.
“But, Mom,” he said, “it has loops.” I responded, “That’s okay!” Going upside down is not my favorite thing. Maybe if I were a bat, it would be different! I reasoned that it would be so quick that it wouldn’t matter.
I made my way to the Thunderbird. This launched wing rollercoaster goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds which my son compared to his favorite car. We waited in line and took our places when it was our turn.
We had a blast! But the best thing was making a memory with this son of mine who will be gone before I know it.
Isn’t business just like that? Maybe you are afraid to step out, to do the things that you need to do to build your business. (I’m looking at you, networking!) If you grasp the opportunity when it presents itself, you may find that you reach your goals AND have fun along the way.
